What's New for the Tucson Hybrid?
New for the model year is the addition of a new trim called the N-Line, which offers better acceleration. All trims of the Tucson Hybrid and Tucson PHEV feature a 10.3-inch infotainment touchscreen and haptic feedback through the steering wheel. Rear side airbags are also included, as are exclusive exterior paint options: Amazon Gray and Hampton Gray.
Performance
The Tucson Hybrid is powered by a single powertrain - a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine with an electric motor. In the base hybrid, this setup outputs 226 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. While the PHEV variant uses the same setup and torque to produce 261 horsepower.
In testing, the EPA found Tucson Hybrid got around 38 mpg city and 38 mpg highway. Meanwhile, the plug-in hybrid model earned an estimated 80 MPGe combined and 33 miles of electric-only driving.
Technology
In the cabin of the Tucson Hybrid, Carmel and Westfield shoppers will find plenty of tech throughout. A 10.3-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are now standard. There are also features like Hyundai's digital key app, which can lock, unlock, and remotely start the vehicle.
